Century Rotunda: Lobby
WOW... What a great period in Chicago history;
the tail end of the 19th century as shown in
Private Mailing Cards with pictures. Chicago officially
adopted the "I WILL" motto, with it meaning the
rebuilding of the City of Chicago after the
Great Chicago Fire in 1871. The first commercial
postal cards produced in the
U.S. were sold at the
1893 World's Columbian
Exposition in Chicago.
